Troy Aduddell Boys’ Campus Coordinator/Varsity Head Coach/Halfbacks Coach Aduddell is a graduate of Jersey Village High School and Stephen F. Austin State University. After 2 years of Coaching in Garland Texas, he began his career at Clear Lake. Twenty-one years later (11 as Head Coach) he looks forward to the challenges each new year brings. Coach enjoys watching the players learn more about the game and how they have to rely on their teammates. Coach’s favorite saying is "Hit someone!" He and his wife Debbie enjoy spending time with their children Megan (14) a freshmen Flair at Lake and Travis (13) a 7th grader at Seabrook.
David Satcher Varsity Defensive Coordinator/Safeties Coach Satcher begins his 4th year of coaching at Lake, and has 10 years of coaching overall. He has coached at both the high school (Woodville, Brazosport and Bay City) and college (Northwestern State University and Texas State University) levels. Coach Satcher grew up in Port Neches, Texas. Coach Satcher’s favorite saying is “never mistake activity for achievement”. According to Coach Satcher, the most important thing to learn from playing football is “working together in a group, having the experience of bringing diverse skills together so they fit into a single unit working toward a common goal, one in which everyone does his own job”. The highlight of his time at Lake has been the Region III Championship game victory over Katy. He and his wife Alicia have one child, Alina. Coach Satcher also teaches P.E.
Eric Poston
Coach Poston is going into his 13th year of coaching; this will be his 2nd year at Clear Lake High School. He grew up in Dickinson, Texas and then attended Stephen F. Austin State University, where he was a member of the football team. Coach Poston has previously coached at North Mesquite High School, Clear Creek High School and Crosby High School. His favorite saying is “You can either be part of the steamroller or party of the pavement.” Coach Poston is married to his lovely wife Brittny and they have three wonderful children, Kaleigh (12), Garrett (7) and McKenzie (3). He will be teaching P.E. this year.
Coach Burnett grew up in Port Neches, Texas and attended Port
Neches-Gove High School. As a student at Texas A & M University
at Commerce, he played defensive tackle on a 4-year
scholarship. Coach Burnett is going into his 9th
year of coaching and his 6th year at Lake. This
football season he is looking forward to helping the kids
develop in order to get to the next level of play. He believes
that the most important things for our players to learn form
playing football is discipline, teamwork and that through hard
work they can beat the odds. His favorite saying is “Outwork
everybody.” Coach Burnett and his wife Rachel (a Clear Lake
area real estate agent) enjoy traveling and spending time with
their children, Jaden (8) and Tessa Rae (1). Coach Burnett will
also be coaching track and teaching Health this year.
Matt Glazener – Varsity Receivers Coach Glazener begins his 4th year coaching career at Lake after 5 years working with backs and receivers at Galveston Ball and 4 years at Harby Junior High in Alvin. Coach Glazener grew up in San Antonio and attended St. Gerard High School where he played football, baseball and basketball. He was a wide receiver while attending Texas Lutheran University. The highlight of his coaching career has been watching kids graduate and go on to college. This football season he is looking forward to “having a good year, winning some ball games and getting to the playoffs”. His favorite saying is “You gotta love it Baby!” According to Coach Glazener, playing football teaches lessons about life, how to win and lose, how to pick oneself up when down and how to deal with adverse situations. Coach Glazener and his wife Pam have three children, Nicole age 11, Jacob age 9, and William age 1. He enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, golfing and hunting. This academic year he will be teaching Algebra and also coaching track.
Coach Palazzi is a native of Washington, New Jersey and attended Warren Hills Regional High School. As a 4 year letterman at The College of New Jersey, he was a 4 year starter and captained the team his senior year. Coach Palazzi is going into his 10th year of coaching (2 at Lake, 4 at The College of New Jersey and 4 at Voorhees H.S., NJ). The highlight of his high school playing career was being named All-State in both football and wrestling. Coach Palazzi is excited to begin the season and believes that defenses excel when everyone does their job. His favorite saying is “Love the Battle!” Coach Palazzi is the Head Coach of Lake’s wrestling team. Coach Palazzi is single and enjoys working out, wrestling, traveling, cooking and having moved to Texas last year! He will be teaching math and P.E. this year.
Patrick Sanders – Varsity Corners Coach Sanders is coaching for his 6th year at Lake. He grew up in Henderson, Texas and attended Henderson High School where he excelled in football and basketball. Coach Sanders graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University. The highlight of his career as a player was making All-District Defensive Back his senior year. He believes that teamwork is the most important thing to learn from playing football. Coach Sanders’ favorite saying is “Go hard or go home.” He is single and his hobby is weight training. He will also be coaching freshman basketball and teaching Special Education during the 2007-2008 academic year.
Richard Davis – Varsity Defensive Ends Coach Davis is beginning his 1st year at Clear Lake after 4 years in Santa Fe and 1 year prior in Pearland. He worked as a varsity scout and junior high coach in La Marque from 1993-1997. Coach Davis Graduated from La Marque in 1992 and earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in English Literature from St. Edward’s University in 2002. His favorite quote is “You get at least 10 days a year to play the game of football; you spend the other 355 determining your success at it.” Coach Davis enjoys hunting, fishing, spending time with family and playing golf. He and his wife Jean have two dogs, a chiahuahua named Emeril and a Labrador named Misty. He will be teaching English and coaching freshman soccer.
Ben Kaufman – Varsity Offensive Line Coach Kaufman joins the Lake staff for his eighth year of coaching. Prior to Lake, Kaufman served four years at Alvin as O-line coach before assuming the Offensive Coordinator position at Thurgood Marshall in Fort Bend. The following year, Kaufman returned to Alvin and last season served as the Offensive coordinator. Ben is from Edinburg, Texas and earned All district, All-County and All-Region as a high school prep. He received his education degree at Texas Tech University where he played as a true freshman, lettered all four years and had 36 career starts. Among the accolades received, Ben was an All American his senior year. After a brief stint with the Arizona Cardinals, Ben hung up the pads and began coaching. Ben enjoys working out, and will jump at any opportunity to go fishing. His favorite saying is "Some lines were not meant to be crossed!"
Jeff Olin – Varsity Offensive Line
Coach Olin graduated from Kansas State in 2005 and begins his
first year at Clear Lake. He coached football last year at
Channelview. Coach Olin grew up in Houston and attended Klein
Oak High School. Coach Olin’s father is the head football coach
at Baytown Lee High School and his brother is the quarterback
for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football
League. His favorite quote is “You get better or worse. You
never stay the same. Let’s get better today.” Coach Olin will
be teaching English and will also be an assistant wrestling
coach.

Wade Gillis – Head
Freshman Coach/ Quarterbacks/Fullbacks/Linebackers
Coach Gillis enters his 1st season of coaching
football at Clear Lake. He coached sophomore baseball at Lake
last spring and was Defensive Line Coach as Shepherd High School
last fall. He spent the previous two years working outside of
education in the petro-chemical industry. Coach Gillis brings
thirteen years of teaching/coaching experience with him, his
most recent tenure being six years in Beaumont ISD 92 years at
Central H.S. and 4 years at West Brook H.S.). He has a Bachelor
of Science in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University
where he played football for three years. Coach Gillis’ wife,
Jeanne, is a full time nursing student and together they have
six children, Lisa, John, David, Tim, Matt and Conner, as well
as three grandchildren, Kori, Dash and Emily.
Coach Betters grew up in Clear Lake where he
played baseball and ran cross-country at Clear Lake High
School. He also played baseball at the University of Houston.
Coach Betters is going into his 13th year of
coaching, his 10th year at Lake. This football
season he is looking forward to helping the younger players
learn and seeing varsity go to the playoffs. According to Coach
Betters, “academics come first – athletics come after that
because playing days are numbered”. His favorite saying is
“With man, this is impossible, but with God, all things are
possible.” Coach Betters loves to golf and collect baseball
cards. He also coaches baseball and teaches Geometry and
Algebra II.
Coach Warner and his wife Barbara live in Seabrook. Barb works as an O.R. nurse and service coordinator at Christus St. John Hospital in Nassau Bay. The remainder of the family includes: Dale (28 and United States Navy), Megan (22, Graduate of "Lake" '03 and first year at Channelview ISD), Austin (16), and Jake (6). Coach Warner has taught Health, P.E., History, and coached Basketball for 27 years. This is the start of his 10th year in CCISD (all at Lake) and his 24th season of Football. Coach is very much looking forward to the '07-'08 year at CLHS!
Kenneth Apande – Halfbacks/Corners
Coach Apande is coaching for his 1st year at Lake.
He grew up in Friendswood, Texas and attended Clear Brook High
School where he excelled in football. He then attended Missouri
Valley College where he was a 4 year starter, leader and earned
ALL HAAC Defensive Back honors. He finished his playing career
with some professional indoor football with the Conroe Storm.
This football season he hopes to help Lake make the playoffs and
help the players reach their potential. He believes the
philosophies of hard work will always pay off and a hard work
ethic will always help you reach your goals. He and his fiancé
enjoy watching movies and bowling. Coach Apande will also teach
IPC and coach baseball during the 2007-2008 academic year. CHRIS GLEESON - Head Trainer This is Chris Gleeson’s 6th year as Head Athletic Trainer for all boys’ UIL sports at Lake. Coach Gleeson grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended the University of Cincinnati. He completed an internship in Athletic Training at University of Houston in 1997. The most common injuries he sees in football are ankle sprains, but he worries most about concussions and symptoms of dehydration when the weather is hot. This year he is looking forward to coming to work every day, knowing that he will have fun and can help out with the players. He and his wife Maddie, who is also a teacher, enjoy traveling, going to the movies, and dining out. They have a 5-year old daughter, Annabella Grace, and an 2 ½-year old son, Ryder.
This is Emy’s second year at Lake. She grew up in League City. She completed graduate school at Texas State University and earned her Master’s Degree in Exercise and Sports Science. She was the graduate assistant athletic trainer at San Marcos High School from 2003-2005. In her spare time, Emy likes to be outdoors, kayaking, camping, mountain biking and trail running. Emy looks forward to working with the athletes and staff at Clear Lake High School.
