To open the second quarter, Decker handed up the middle to Kyle Power for 2. On third and three, Drew Decker kept on the option and had a great run down to the LP 30 yard line, but an embarrassed Line Judge inadvertently whistled the ball dead, so the down had to be replayed, negating Decker’s run. Trying it again didn’t work as Decker was stopped for a 1 yard gain making it fourth and two from their own 20 yard line. Chris Ferguson dropped back to punt and made a good play on a bad snap, getting the punt off, and after a CL roll, the ball was downed at the LP 40.

On the second down play from the 43, the Bulldog QB hit a receiver on the left side, and cutting back against the grain, he scampered down to the CL 14 where he was knocked out of bounds by Jake Runte. A dead ball personal foul on LP brought the ball back to the CL 29.

Another fumbled snap by the QB allowed Alsop, Riser, Akinyeye, and Adams to sack him behind the line. On second down, the QB tried to take it around the right end but was met by Daniel Moore, Riser, Adams, and Worthen for no gain. A drop back pass attempt on third down was broken up by Kyle Potts and almost picked off by Victor Smith. On fourth and ten, the QB tried a roll out pass to the left but it feel incomplete.

After LP turned the ball over on downs to CL, Resendez took a Decker pitch around the right side for a 20 yard gain and first down. On the next first down play, Knight was able to push forward for 4 yards with David Nimmons, Moore and Plasek leading the way with good blocks. Another dive, this time by Wrinkle picked up 2. This one might make the ESPN highlight reel!

Two keepers by Decker for no gain and an incomplete pass forced Porfirio to try a field goal which ultimately was blocked as the half ended.
