McNeese State 2005 football recruits

McNeese State signed 22 players during football recruiting day Wednesday, head coach Tommy Tate saying, "we signed some very good looking athletes who have good speed and size."

Among those signing with the Cowboys were Chad Davis of Bishop Sullivan High of Plaquemine and Beau Lassseigne of St. Martinville who were signed as athletes and quarterback Derick Fourroux of Erath High School.

The Cowboys also signed place kicker Blake Bercegeay of East Ascension High of Gonzales, LA and he is expected to come in and fill the spot held by John Marino for the past four years. Tate said that he couldn't be sure but he felt that some of those signing with the Cowboys on Wednesday would probably be seeing action in the fall.
