LAKE Game Highlights
1st Quarter
· Defensive Back (#22/Patrick Ashley) intercepted a pass to kill Tomball’s opening drive.
· A beautiful touchdown run by Quarterback (#8/Cole Mueller) called back due to inadvertent whistle.
· Linebacker (#43/Nathan Gordon) caused a fumble on an excellent hit on the Tomball Quarterback. Lake Defensive Lineman (#81/Micahel Suniga) recovered the fumble.
· Six straight Lake running plays gained positive yardage to the Tomball 4 yard line. Runs were by QB (#8/Cole Mueller) and running backs (#27/Joe Clark) and (#21/Andre Blow).
2nd Quarter
· Running Back (#21/Andre Blow) scampers 4 yards for Lake’s first touchdown. The extra point run by Running Back (#27/Joseph Clark) was also GOOD!!
· The Lake defense stiffened and caused a Tomball fumble at the 1 yard line. This fumble was recovered by Lake and left Tomball without a first half score.
· Run keeper by Quarterback (#8/Cole Mueller) for 15 yards was Lake’s longest run of the first half.
3rd Quarter
· Longest run of many this quarter was a 13 yard Quarterback keeper by #8/Cole Mueller.
· At one point, there were eight consecutive running plays for positive yardage by Quarterback (#8/Cole Mueller) and Running Backs (#21/Andre Blow) and (#27/Joe Clark)
· Defense was never on the field in the 3rd Quarter.
4th Quarter
· Defensive quarter. Multiple tackles for loss or no gain by #4/Zack Curry, #10/Michael Zertuche, #32/Clayton Breeding, #42/Jesse Nowinski, and #43/Nathan Gordon. Also excellent secondary coverage by #22/Ashley.
· Best defensive stand resulted in gang tackle of the Tomball quarterback at the 13 yard line (one yard short of a first down). Ball turned over on downs to Lake @ 03:27 in 4th Quarter
