Clear Lake 56, Clear Brook 41
League City. Clear Lake scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to beat Clear Brook and keep its playoff hopes alive.
Clear Brook had command of the game early at District Stadium as Corey Sonnier, who threw for 220 yards, scored on a five-yard run and then hit Dane Yelovich for a passing score to give the Wolverines the lead.
Carlos Frank's one-yard run put Clear Brook out even further, 20-7, before Clear Lake mounted a charge.
Geno Blow, Ronnie Feaster and Daniel McCalib scored run to give the Falcons an eight-point advantage.
But Clear Brook was not to be denied as it climbed ahead 41-35 at the end of the third quarter on TDs by Matt Bandini and Frank. Bandini had seven catches for 142 yards.
Frank finished with 180 yards on 27 carries, and the Lakes' Elrick Jones paced a 397-yard rushing effort by Clear Lake with 144 yards.
