LAKE Game Highlights

1st Quarter

·         Huge offensive explosion begins with Lake executing 3 consecutive runs over 15 yards (29 and 16 yard runs from QB #7/Jonathon Gilmer and a 24 yard TD run by Running Back #27/Joseph Clark).  The Extra Point run by Gilmer was also good.  Score:  Lake 8, Brazoswood 0 @ 10:23 in 1st Qtr

·         Excellent hit by Linebacker #43/Nathan Gordon results in Brazoswood fumble recovered by Lake at 21 yard line.

·         3 more consecutive runs each over 10 yards results in Lake’s second touchdown (10 and 36 yard runs by Gilmer and a 2nd Touchdown run of 33 yards for Joe Clark).  Extra Point run by #25/Geno Blow  is also Good!  Score:  Lake 16, Brazoswood 0 @ 3:31 remaining 1st Qtr

 

2nd Quarter

·         21 yard pass completion from QB Jon Gilmer HB Geno Blow puts Lake into Brazoswood territory.

·         Terrific defensive stand results in ball over on downs to Lake (1st down play is a QB sack by #67/Jon Plasek for a 4 yard loss, 2nd down tackle made by #10/Zertuche after short 4 yard gain, 3rd down triple reverse run tackled by #10/Zertuche for NO GAIN, and 4th down pass is completed but #30/Josh McNary knocks runner out of bounds short of the 1st down marker).
