ALVIN. Alvin scored 28 points in the fourth to come back and upset No. 4-area ranked Clear Lake at Memorial Stadium.
Dwight Goffney rushed for two one-yard touchdowns in the first 6:07 of the fourth quarter to put Alvin up. Then, Bryant Hunter returned an interception 47 yards for a touchdown to cap the scoring and end Clear Lake's chances of remaining undefeated.
