A Tribute to the Seniors

An important, yet sometimes overlooked lesson on life is perseverance. That lesson has been learned by numerous senior Clear Lake High School Falcon Football players.

Over the past four years our seniors have been attending practice everyday no matter the weather, no matter the temperature, dawning athletic equipment that often magnifies the brutality of the weather.

They have submitted themselves to grueling physical workouts, which for some, have resulted in physical and mental exhaustion.  Yet, year after year, day after day, they have returned to the playing field.

Maybe these young men will be able to take the lessons they learned on the football field, and transpose them into real life situations, whether it is in the classroom, on their college campus, or in the business world.

Perseverance is an invaluable personal trait to possess.  The following senior Falcon Football players have it:

Frankly, some of these young men did not see a lot of game time but their contributions to the development of the team go far beyond what happens on Friday night.

Many of these players provided the challenges at practice which allowed the team to develop their competitive instincts.  When they were in the game, they tried their best with their parents and friends proudly cheering for.them in the stands.

These young men learned the importance of teamwork, and learned to become friends with each other, often with football as their only commonality.

Thank you, seniors, for your contributions to our team!
