Summer Physical Conditioning

The physical conditioning program for the summer will run from June 11 through July 18th. The program is from 7:00 am to 9:00 am Monday through Thursday. The cost for the program is $25.00.

Coach Aduddel's Bay Area Football Camp

Coach Aduddell's Bay Area Football Camp will be held on June 3rd through June 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. For ages 7 - 14 Grades 2 - 8. Location is the ClearLake High School practice field.  The fee for the camp is $65.00. We will cover:

ALL POSITIONS TAUGHT OFFENSIVELY AND DEFENSIVELY
FOOTWORK, STANCES, AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONING

Steve McKinney                     Houston Texans Call on Clear Lake Falcon's Talent

Versatile and athletic offensive lineman who the Texans plan to line up at center…signed with the Texans on 3/6/02 as the club’s first unrestricted free agent.  Attended Clear Lake High School in Houston…lettered in basketball and saw action as defensive end and tight end in football…earned AP all-state honors as a senior…brother, Seth, just completed career as center at Texas A&M. continued

Summer Conditioning Program Approved
March 5, 2002

High School Football officially lost its true offseason after superintendents approved volunteer strength and conditioning sessions, the UIL announced earlier today.

We'll expect an announcment from Coach Aduddel in the near future regarding the effects of this UIL ruling.  continued at Texas Football. Also see the UIL Web Site for a detailed look at the ruling.

Seven on Seven Schedule
February 28, 2002

The tentative Seven on Seven schedule for the Clear Lake boys is as follows:

June 1

Texas City

June 8 Friendswood
June 15 The Woodlands
June 29 Baytown

All of these games are "State Qualifying Tournaments." This means that the top two teams at each of the tournaments qualify to go to the State Tournament which is typically played at Texas A&M.

Spring Ball
February 27, 2002

Three weeks of Spring Football which will begin the 2002 Football Season for the Falcons will start on Thursday, April 25th according to Coach Aduddel. There will be a walk-through on the 25th where the teams will be given an overview of what will be expected during the three weeks that will start on Monday, April 29th and go through May 15th. Spring football will be on Monday through Thursday afternoons and on Saturday mornings.

Beagnyam, Huebel Receive Scholarships
February 13, 2002

Azzie Beagnyam and Adam Huebel have received football scholarships to help with the cost of their college careers. Azzie received a scholarship to Pitt (University of Pittsburgh). According to the Pitt website Azzie is being groomed as a linebacker. And Adam Huebel will being going to the Air Force Academy in Colorado. The Air Force Falcons have not yet posted their new class to their website.

UIL Changes to District 24-5A
February 4, 2002

The University Interscholastic League has just released its Reclassification and Realignment for football for the 2002-2004 seasons. District 24-5A has major changes. La Porte and Pearland have been moved to District 23-5A leaving only six schools in District 24-5A. These are Alvin, Brazoswood, ClearBrook, Ball, Clear Lake and Clear Creek. Lake will have fewer District Games next season and will only have to win three games to land in the District Playoffs.

Valiant Effort Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Falcons took on Brazoswood in District Stadium.  The Falcon offense moved the ball up and down the field all afternoon.  Stephen Scott rushed 25 times for 125 yards. Michael Fritz returned to action completing 15 of 30 passes for 175 yards, and Warren Cormier pulled in 5 of those passes for 97. continued

At the Quarterback Club Monday Meeting, Coach Aduddell reviewed all of the teams’ scores and their performances, which were great all around.  Injuries are under control and plans for North Shore were shared in practice with the boys today.  He says North Shore looks good. In fact in some of the polls it is ranked first in the state.

He’s optimistic about the boys catching on quickly to plays, making good adjustments, and predicts better defense from us than Hastings had against North Shore.    He discussed the Coaches’ ongoing evaluation of the boys in their positions to find the best player for the team.

2001 Preseason Rankings from Various Sources

There are four or five publications that rank the high school teams, and I gather that they do this ranking by examining the last years season, checking the rosters to see how many of the starting and lettering players are returning for the new season, and then consulting with their colleagues and crystal balls. continued
